Warrington Has Past Away

23/06/1998 to 17/01/2008

Hi Carol
Thank you for Warrintons special new page I hope it will encourage other people to give the older animals a home .. I have always been a dog lover and from the age of 3 or 4 I have brought home many stray cats and dogs .. my Mum would bring home stray pregnant cats and we would find homes for the kittens and have mum desexed .. both my sons love animals too.

Thank you again
Bye Sheryl (Warrington's mum)

April 2007 UPDATES:

Hi Carol and Yaps Staff
Warrington is having a ball .. he is a lovely dog and a pleasure to have as part of our family .. in the photos you can see Warrington out walking and playing in a shallow part of our creek .. he loves to roll around .. you'll notice he likes to check every thing out .. Georgie (our other dog) wants him to play but he was just too busy exploring his new home .. Warrington and Georgie are pictured down by the waterwheel .. Warrington is standing on a huge rock .. .. he doesn't even care if it is raining .. he is just happy to be out running around .. Warrington is always on the move so it is a bit hard to get good shots of him .. he is out walking with Georgie and they do play together .. Warrington is just so tired at last .. he has had a very busy first couple of Months in April and May 2007 at his new home .. he just loves it here on the property.

Thank you so much for Warrington
He is very much loved

May 2007 UPDATE:

Hi Carol and Everyone at YAPS
Warrington has had his first Lepto vaccination .. he has had an annual Heartworm injection when he had his Vaccination C5 last year so will be due for his next Lepto C5 and Heartworm in June .. the lump inside his left hindleg will be checked again to see if it has grown .. it needed to be removed last January so I am concerned it may have grown .. the vet said lumps on joints can be very painfull .. nothing wrong with his eyesight though .. he saw a picture of a cat on the wall at the vets so he climbed up on a chair so that he could have a better look at it .. that's our boy .. checks everything out .. he doesn't even care if it is raining he was just happy to be out running around.

July 2007 Birthday UPDATE:

Hi Carol .. Dorothy and YAPS Staff
Well it is Warrington's Birthday .. he is 9 years old .. not that anyone would know as he is extremely active for such an old guy .. one would think he is only 3 or 4 .. Warrington is such a happy boy and just loves his life .. he also loves his food .. he is fed twice a day and just about takes my hand when offered a treat .. thank you for saving him and giving him the chance to be so happy .. thank you for all the wonderful work you do giving all the other dogs and cats the chance to have the good life that they all deserve.

September 2007 UPDATE:

Hi Yaps!
In the first picture Warrington had brought home a bone .. I had told him not to touch it so he just watched it .. he is such a good boy .. as you can see Warrington loves sleeping on his beanbag and won't sleep in his house at all .. he sleeps with his tongue partly out .. it is not as cold now .. so they are not always covered with their blankets at night .. we are taking Warrington and Georgie to Townsville on Sunday .. they love going out in the car .. we always stop at the beach at Cardwell so Warrington should enjoy that .. he is such a beautiful boy and he just loves living in the country .. he helped his Dad all day Sunday working in the yard .. needless to say most of the time he was sprawled out asleep.

Thank you for Warrington .. he is such a nice dog

October 2007 UPDATE:

Hi Carol and Yaps Gang
These photos are of Warrington and how he spends most of his day .. checking things out .. he is always wet .. he loves being in the creek .. Warrington loves it when we work outside (always heaps to do)and always stays near Mum or Dad .. Georgie and Warrington play together a lot and Georgie loves him .. we both thank you so much for our gorgeous boy and hate to think what would have happened to him if YAPS had not saved him .. it is sad to see so many dogs and cats at YAPS but without YAPS where would they be .. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

Take care
Warrington's Mum.

January 2008 UPDATE:

Hi Carol
Looks like someone had his nose in the wrong place last week and I think he was bitten by a rat .. he had jumped the fence and gone to our neighbours house .. she brought him home early in the morning with a bloody nose and said he had kept her awake all night rummaging around under her house .. we have bought him an Innotek Fencing System and 600 metres of boundary wire which should give him plenty of area .. we will include the creek so he will still be able to swim .. he is always wet from the rain or from swimming.

Bye
Warrington's Mum

17 January 2008 UPDATE:

Dear Carol and YAPS Staff
I am very sad to tell you that we have lost our beautiful boy Warrington .. he became ill in the early hours on Wednesday morning .. unfortunately the vet found a mass in his tummy which she and the other vets agreed was a cancer .. the vet rang on Tuesday afternoon to tell me he had deteriorated so I made the decision to put him out of his pain .. we want to thank you all at YAPS for saving him and giving him these last few months of life .. Warrington was a handsome .. loving .. happy .. smiling and very obedient boy who loved life .. he loved living here in the country .. we have dozens of photographs to remember him .. he was a much loved and irreplaceable dog.

Warrington lived with us from 25th April 2007 to 17th January 2008.

THANK YOU FOR WARRINGTON
