Y.A.P.S Boarding Kennels hope this page will be informative enough for you to make a decision on where to board your dog in Cairns Queensland Australia .. offering nothing but the ultimate in care and attention.

All dogs are housed in individual kennels with sheltered sleeping areas .. unless owners request that pets from the same family share the same accommodation .. Yaps provide each dog with a clean comfortable bed in each large kennel.

Each dog is put out every day in our exercise yards ..

All diets are catered for .. we will do our utmost to ensure that your pet is fed as close as possible to his/her normal diet given at home to avoid upset tummies and settling in problems.

An on call Vet is available 24 hours a day .. however every effort is made to contact your own Vet Clinic if your pet has a problem .. in the case of emergencies our Vet will be notified for expediency.

Your dogs medication will be given according to your instructions.

Female dogs in season are boarded only by prior arrangements.

Yaps provide special attention to their senior boarders.

All dogs are bathed weekly.

VACCINATIONS COMPULSORY:

For the health and safety of your pets .. all dogs must be fully vaccinated.

Pets must be vaccinated at least 10 days prior to entering for boarding.

Proof of vaccination must be sited by kennel staff prior to acceptance for boarding.

MINIMUM VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS:

RATES:

Fee's are calculated on a daily rate

Med/Lge dogs $17.00 per day .. Small dogs $16.00 per day

Charges start the day your dog/s arrive and on the day of collection if picked up before 11.30 AM there is no charge for that day .. after 11.30am charges will apply for that day.

Current yearly vaccinations certificates must be presented upon arrival .. for new first time vaccinations these must be given at least 10 days prior to arrival.

Drop off and pick up times are from 8am to 3.30pm

INSPECTIONS are WELCOMED:

Opened Daily 7 days a week

Important information:

Viruses like canine influenza and cat flu are airborne .. just like a human flu virus and cannot be controlled by daily hygiene regime.

There are over 95 strains of canine cough with dogs only 2 of those are covered through vaccination .. if you have concerns .. please talk to your vet.

Animals including your pet can carry a dormant virus in their system for up to 6 months which can activate at any time .. this is out of yours/our control.

We are happy to administer medication if required.

Malcom Malcom originally came to Yaps as a puppy with his sibling Minty .. they were both adopted into kind loving homes .. Malcolm has grown into a beautiful big boy and has come back to visit his Yaps family while his family take time out .. the big smile tells it all .. he loves coming home to catch up on all the GOS!

Jewlz Well I have been taken for a walk and have had some play time.. so things are pretty easy boarding here at YAPS. Although I do have one complaint.. they have dog beds here to sleep on and like man I am used to the human kind of bed.. you know what I mean.

Max
Pebbles Pups
Max was a Yaps kid .. he lived at Yaps with his mum Pebbles and his brothers and sisters .. Max was only 10 hours old when he arrived at Yaps .. Annie was there waiting with their new room .. all decked out and ready for mum .. who would only eat Chicken .. Ham and Turkey I might add .. but that was no problem to Annie .. Pebbles and babies were all adopted in time .. some come and visit from time to time .. Hey buzz off this is my story .. I wanted to say that I love coming back to see Annie and the others here at Yaps 'cause they spoil me .. Annie's chicken dinners are Yummy!

Tyson and Jo 2003 Tyson would like Jo to see an old photo of the two of them .. back when they were both younger (2003) .. no need to say these two go way back and are still friends.

Jo 2006 Jo would also like Tyson to see how all those years at Yaps can change one's life and mind .. Jo is pictured here at Yaps in 2006 tending to her fairy duties .. OOPS we mean office duties.

Tyson was a Yaps kid before he was adopted .. Jo was on the staff back in 2003 and she still is now .. it is soooo great to see once a Yaps kids always a Yaps kid .. Jo and Tyson are still old Pals in 2007.

A big Thank you for having looked after us so well during the past two months .. Tyson and Paddy look fabulous .. they have lost those extra kilos .. so thank you for that .. Abbie is still as naughty as ever.

Jake is one of our star boarders but now he has gone home. We will all miss you Jake.

Topaz was known as Candy when she was living at Yaps .. her mums' name was CoCo and she had lots of brothers and sisters .. CoCo and Puppies were all adopted by loving families .. I just wanted to come and spend time with my old Yaps family while me new family had some Vacation Care.

Juno and Sheba .. We are just spending a relaxing day while boarding at YAPS.
