Misty and Bluey Misty is a female Kelpie X born in 2005 and Bluey is a Staffy X Blue Heeler also born in 2005. These 2 have been great mates all their lives and will fret without each other so Please Please is there someone out there who will give these 2 beautiful well mannered dogs a home together

Ida is a female Lab X born about May 25 2008. You see we do not actually know her date of birth because she was found along with her 2 sisters and 1 brother who have now found their new homes, near a creek area underneath a box ...... starving .. dehydrated and full of worms. She is now healthy happy pup and after the start she has had she is looking for a home where she will truly be cared for and loved.

Duke is a male Dane born February 2 2007. He is a loving boy but does not adapt well to lots of strangers coming and going.. this poor boy was chased with a stick by a person who thought it was funny and as a result he is nervous of strangers. Once you get to know Duke he will be your true friend and companion, he also loves other dogs to play with.

Aka and Molly are brother and sister who are 5 years old. They are an adorable pair who love life and good time but they do need a home where no cats live..

He is fretting and really needs a family that will love and care for him for the rest of his life. At his young age he has already been pushed from family to family far to much.. put a happy smile back on this boys face..

What better way to start the day and keep fit than by coming out to YAPS and taking our homeless dogs for a walk.
If you are 18 and over with some free time between 8 AM and 11 AM please come along and register to become a YAPS Dog Walker .. we are open 7 days a week.

Boof is a male Bull Arab born in June 2007 .. he is a handsome boy and has ended up at the refuge through no fault of his own . . he will be a true companion and friend.
Alison and family adopted Indie WHO IS DEAF from YAPS about 7 months ago and this is her story ( to see pictues of Indie with her new family go to the YAPS success stories)
We have had Indie for 7 mths now, we got her from YAPS, she is also deaf. We have had to learn how to communicate a bit differently. To tell her she is doing something wrong we use a squirt bottle. If we need her attention we wave or if she is outside at night we use a torch. A little extra care is needed so she does not go out the front or for a walk without a lead as she cannot hear traffic. Apart from these small changes we had to make she is a well behaved and a very lovable dog. I hope somebody who can make these few small changes will adopt Boof he deserves a good & loving home

Unison is a male Cattle X born April 20 2008. All his brothers and sisters have found their new homes but this little guy sits waiting for someone to make him part of their family. But you see Unison is DEAF but with just a few adjustments on your part he will be a big a part of your life as any other dog. This little guy just needs a chance....

Whycliffe is a male stumpy tail Cattle Dog born in May 2006 .. he is now a lively boy who loves to play games .. chase the ball and most importantly have a big cuddle with you .. this boy needs a home and a chance to show you just how loving he is.
When Whycliffe first came into the refuge he was missing hair from all parts of his body .. he was a bit nervous and shy of people .. Today he is a different boy.. his hair has grown back .. he is confident and loving .. it just goes to show how a little TLC can make such a difference .. come out and meet Why and he will show you just what a good sort he is.

Ajax is a male Golden Retriever X Shepherd born in June 2005. This boy has been at the refuge since August 2007, FAR TO LONG. He is a loving boy as you can see by his photos.. all he needs is just someone to give him a chance to prove what a wonderful boy he is. Ajax will need a yard with a 6 foot fence.

Bundy and Lady are brother and sister Staffy X born in June 2006. They grew up together and would love to spend the rest of their life together but if they haven't got a choice they'll go their own way... If Lady cannot be rehomed with Bundy then she would be best suited to be the only canine in the family. Both dogs are very affectionate.
