Last Update: The Young Animal Protection Society Inc. is a non profit organization which depends heavily on donations and support from the public as it receives no government funding. Yaps relies on donations and fundraising to assist in their job of caring all their homeless cats and dogs. Any clubs or social group interested in organizing a fund raiser for Yaps would be most welcomed. If every home donated $5 a year we could rescue and save so many more animals. Yaps biggest expense every year is feeding the many many litters of puppies that come into our care .. they all have 3 feeds each day .. a litter of 6 babies would start at eating 3 large tins of Puppy Pal each day and by the time they are rehomed they would be eating up to 6 tins a day .. YAPS have had up to 3 litters at one given time and most litters are between 6 to 9 puppies .. all puppies up to the age of 3 months old must have the nourishment that is in a tin of Puppy Pal .. so you can imagine the on-going cost .. Puppy Pal is the Best Nourishment for sick and orphaned puppies .. so there are NO short cuts .. the large suppermarkets have a policy of NO Discounts .. so we are pleading with the public to help on a regular basic so we can always be ready for the next lot of abandoned babies.
