Yaps work with the AirPort Veterinary Clinic .. the charges are a minimum rate and we ask all new families to pay this fee for their new pet. All Purebred Staffies (Dogs and Puppies) are from $375 Compulsory Additional Registration Fee Must be paid when leaving YAPS with your new pet! Cairns City Council Yearly Dog Registration Each year begins on the 1st July and ends on the 30th June ONLY $35.00   Dog registration renewal July 1st of each year. If a staffy puppy is too young to be desexed .. the appointment is make by Yaps Management and paid for before you leave with your new staffy .. this desexing fee is included in the $325 Adoption Fee.. you must keep the appointment and desex your Puppy on the due appointed time or action will be taken by Yaps Management. Staffys are close to the top when it comes to popularity .. but still some are abused and mistreated as are in all breeds of dogs .. the staff at Y.A.P.S seem to have a special love for staffies and do their best to rehome them as quickly as possible into loving families. Email Form CLICK HERE! Ringo is a male Staffy born June 1 2004. Ringo is six going on 2!! and thats in the nicest possible way. He might be more senior in years but has the engery of a younger dog. Ringo loves being around his 2 two-legged people. His ideal family is one that will involve him in their activities. The boy has put on a bit of weight since being at YAPS and his only comment on that is.. Get me out of here and just let me run around the yard and go for walks and I will loose this weight.. Like man they are talking DIET here... YUK!!!! Ringo use to be a YAPS dog but in August 2007 was rehomed to his "ideal" family. He was part of the crowd.. allowed to be an inside/outside dog.. he was very happy and settled. Sadly his family had to move for work and were not allowed to have a dog where they were going. They spent a few months looking for the right home for Ringo and they thought they had found it.. but obviously this was not the case. Ringo got out and lost.. sadly no one came looking for him so now he is back at YAPS. During his time at his last home it looks like something has spiked him in one of his eyes. We have had the eye removed but this does not worry him in the least. Ringo will need a home where he is the only dog in the family and no cats please. Good fencing is a must for Mr. Ringo........... After all this poor boy has been through all he wants is a home and a mate to call his own. Ringo loves doing the "high five"!!!
