Buddy   (Rastus)

Hi
I have been trying to find a link to Cairns YAPS as I wanted to let you guys know that the pup I adopted years ago is healthy .. spoilt and always happy .. he has a best mate to live with now named Eddie .. together they are very happy and reside in NSW now .. Buddy has always been treated as a part of the family and not as the pet .. when I picked him up initially he was called Rastus .. and being the smart boy that he is Buddy now responds to many commands.

Midge

Hello Yaps Staff
In November 2008 we adopted a beautiful kitten named Midge for my birthday .. Midge at first was a little scared and hid under the couch .. but now he is very comfortable in our home and family .. Midge is a very much loved kitten who likes to play a lot .. thank you so much for saving Midge and all the animals from the pound and other places that can not rehome all their pets .. but most of all thank you for giving the animals at YAPS a second chance .. Midge is growing up happily and healthy.

Bye and Thank You

Flynn

Hi Dorothy
We just got back from Cairns this evening and received your message .. I was planning on sending you some photos we took the other week ... I just had not got around to it.

Flynn has settled in really well .. in fact we have all agreed he is perfect .. He is wonderful with the kids .. scared of the cats (which is a good thing) and is a big sook .. he follows me around during the day ..
Flynn
Flynn jumps in the car as soon as I go to pick up the kids from school .. I have even found him waiting in the car a few times when I was airing out the car .. and he sleeps besides my bed .. he definitely likes the car .. he really very clever and is picking up new commands quite quickly . especially when treats are involved .. one of our cats is not too impressed with a new dog .. she stalks him and scares him at every opportunity .. poor Flynn jumps every time and hides behind me .. then cries at her for being mean to him .. LOL .. Flynn saw the cat on my lap the other day while I was reading .. when she jumped off .. he decided he wanted to have a go too .. the big sook he is .. so I ended up with cat AND dog hair all over me. Flynn
Flynn did not know what to do with toys .. but this past weekend he went to the Uncle Shane's place who is our dogsitter while we were in Cairns .. Flynn played all weekend with Shane's two dogs so now Flynn is chasing balls with the best of them .. I take Flynn for a walk every morning at about 5.30am because that is when it is cool .. I just wish it was not so early .. LOL .. Flynn really gets into the walk and keeps me going at a very fast pace .. I am definitely going to be fitter very soon .. I have still got to do a bit of research and find out where all the dog friendly places are around our area .. I am sure there will be heaps of creeks and such we can take Flynn to while we are on school holidays.

Cheers

Mason

Hello Yaps Staff
Mason came to YAPS in very bad condition .. he had a serious bout of mange and had to stay for quite some time while being treated .. then a special lady by the name of Mandy sponsored Mason .. this means she paid for all his treatment until he was completely well .. Mason is such a gentleman and ever so lovable .. once Mason was ready for adoption I (Tracey) fell in love with him and took him home .. he often goes back to board at YAPS and is always happy to see all his old friends.

Thank You Mandy and All at YAPS

I notice you have some female Staffy X Cattle pups on line we may be interested in .. talk to you soon.

Kind regards

Joey

Hi
We adopted Joey from YAPS about 2 years ago in 2006 .. he is very happy and content as he has a playmate .. a red cattle dog to play with in a big yard at Edmonton .. he has learned to swim and loves swimming in the creek at Greenpatch at the Little Musgrave River on the highway South of Cairns.

Thanks again for the wonderful job you do.
John

Sammy   (Humpty)

Hello YAPS staff!
I adopted Humpty (renamed Sammy) just over in 2008 from YAPS .. I just wanted you all to know that he is a wonderful boy .. he is loving .. friendly and just the perfect companion dog .. although I am overlooking the fact that he has ripped out my reticulation system and most of my plants!!! (C'est la vie!) .. I am so happy to have him and I believe he is happy to have found a home too!
Here are a couple of photos of Sammy with me on his first walk on the beach .. he was scared of those strange noisy things called waves at first .. and a photo of him with my nieces .. he loves children and they certainly love him!

Keep up the good work!
