	Volunteers play a large part to Yaps continued success .. all Volunteers are screened by Yaps Management to add safety and protection to our animals. Yaps is always in search of loving volunteers. Yaps animals need exercise and lots of cuddles and kisses .. one of the main works of the volunteers is try to prove to these hurt and unwanted pets that the world can be a better place .. we must try to keep the animals socialized with love and kindness .. this will prepare them for their new families. If this could be you .. come on down! Yaps also need many more hands to help with feeding and bathing the animals .. cleaning the kennels .. washing and folding linen .. there are always repairs that need to be done about Yaps .. this will help us to keep running smoothly. If you have the heart .. we have the job! Love mends broken hearts! Meet Our Volunteers Gay and Ansett Gay is a regular volunteer at YAPS pitching in where ever she is needed. Staffies and puppies are her speciality .. we just call her the"Gumboot Queen of YAPS"

Saskia and Brandy Jane Here is Saskia with Brandy Jane who is just enjoying life at YAPS because of volunteers like Saskia. Saskia has been volunteering at YAPS for a number of years now and has her very own YAPS dog at home to love.. Tamsin and Bundy Tamsin is one of our great volunteers who comes out to YAPS most weekends to spend her free time with the homeless animals.. and as you can see she is geatly appreciated and Bundy says a special "Thank You" for taking me for my walks.. Nicole and Jimbo Jimbo looks forward to the week ends when Nicole is going to come out and spend some time with him. Come on Nicole its time to rumble. Emma is a valued long time volunteer at Yaps .. her services have been unconditional since she started with Yaps volunteer program as a very young dedicated teenager and continues to give her support regularly .. Emma has a natural way with the animals and takes a personal interest in their welfare .. her aim is to become a vet and continue to her plight to help animals in need .. you can meet Emma most weekends at Yaps doing her chores and working loving with the animals.Go Emma!!! Saskia has been coming to Yaps longer than most of our volunteers .. she is a wonderful example to young an old who work at Yaps .. Saskia is excellent with the animals and is devoted to their care while they are at Yaps .. so much so that she adopted a Yaps dog after it had been with Yaps for quite sometime .. keep up the wonderful work Saskia you do not go un-noticed. Peter is a much needed volunteer at Yaps .. he is peeling prawns for the rescued cats and kittens .. not the best job in the world but Peter is willingly doing his allocated chores with a smile.

Nikki .. Saskia .. Tamsin .. Emma and Nicole are doing what they do best .. Spoiling Yaps Animals! Tamsin .. Nicole and Nikki This is the joy of volunteering at YAPS. The reward from having these cuddly little critters snuggle up to you does "almost" makes up for having to do some dishes at YAPS. Emma and Saskia with our beautiful puppies. All of the young girls volunteering at YAPS are willing give their free time to make the YAPS animals feel ever so special, which in most cases has been missing from their life. All of our volunteers are "Special" people and with out them YAPS would not be what it is today. TRINITY BAY LIONS CLUB A Special Thank You to Eileen .. Ken .. Dianne .. Leon and James for the fantastic work they are doing on the pet cemetery. YAPS thinks the Trinity Bay Lions Club are just The BEST! Ellie .. Nicole and Tarryn have been volunteering at YAPS for a number of years .. their help is a great support to YAPS and the animals just love all the cuddles they get from the girls. Jane is a great help as a volunteer at YAPS working with the animals and as with all volunteers Jane loves the time to quietly sit and just be with the them. Jessica is a YAPS volunteer .. her love and devotion to the animals is just what our animals need at Yaps .. play time with the kittens is the most rewarding time for Jessica. Tanya and Alyce have been volunteering at YAPS for years now .. helping with feeding .. cleaning and bathing .. but their favorite time is playing with the puppies.
