  • from $220.00 for all kittens up to and including 6 months

Price Includes:

Council Registration:

Cairns Regional Council Yearly Cat Registration is free
Each year begins on the 1st of July and ends on the 30th of June.

Please complete the preadoption application form from the website and include paperwork as listed below.

If Renting:

A COPY OF YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT MUST BE SIGHTED BY YAPS STATING THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN INSIDE CAT.  IF A BODY CORP IS INVOLVED, WE MUST ALSO SEE A LETTER FROM THE BODY CORP STATING YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN INSIDE CAT

if you OWN.

IF YOU OWN YOUR OWN PLACE, WE WILL NEED TO SIGHT A COPY OF YOUR RATES NOTICE IN YOUR NAME.  ALSO, IF A BODY CORP IS INVOLVED, WE MUST ALSO SEE A LETTER FROM THE BODY CORP STATING YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN INSIDE CAT.

About: Our lovely Tamika has been with us for a while as we’ve worked to show her that humans can be kind and caring. There’s still a little way to go but put a brush in your hand and she’s more than happy to enjoy some grooming, especially around her neck.
Tamika was found under a house with her kittens, and it took some time for the homeowner to catch her and bring her into Yaps’ care. She was terrified of people, never aggressive, just so scared it was heartbreaking to see. We’ve been helping her gain confidence, and though she’s still cautious, her playful, cheeky side is starting to shine.
She would thrive in a quiet home with someone patient enough to let her settle in at her own pace.
And yes—a brush or scratching mitt is a must for her new family!
