If you would like to meet any of the dogs please complete the pre adoption questionnaire below their picture and submit along with a copy of your rates notice if you own or if renting a copy of your rental agreement stating you are allowed to have a pet/s Council Registration Cairns Regional Council annual Dog Registration begins each year on the 1st July and ends on the 30th June. Registration is compulsory and costs $51.00 to June 2027 If you live in the Cairns Regional Council area you must register your new dog at the time of adoption. Breed: Husky About: This sweet girl found herself at Yaps through no fault of her own and is hoping for that second chance to spend her remaining years with a loving, caring family. Vera has been around children but hasn’t had the chance to socialize with other dogs, so at her age, we think she’d prefer a calm home as the only dog, where she can soak up attention and enjoy her daily walks. Like all of us—human or canine—she has a few age-related needs, and we’d be happy to chat in person about how to keep her comfortable.
